(key queries collected from many forums in many Islamic websites and verbal questions and it is summarised below for clarity)
1-Did Allah s.w.t specifically command us to establish an Islamic State or Allah s.w.t will grant it? Why isn't there a single ayat in the Quran and Hadith commanding it? In the Quran, there are eighty (80) ayats on Zikir, sixty (60) ayats on Dakwah and others but no ayat on setting an Islamic State. Why?
2- Is "menegakkan syariat" equated as "islamic law through power in a nation" by Ulama' who were living out of the times of the khairun qurun (300 years of the times of Nabi s.a.w-the Sahabah-the Tabien-the Tabit tabien)? Did the four (4) imam of jurisprudence passed any decree on the issue of setting up an Islamic State or was it ijtihad of later years "Ulama"? What is the basis of this question? Nabi s.a.w asked us to emulate those from khaIrun qurun only!
3-If "mendirikan negara islam" is that important, why didn't Allah s.w.t grant to Nabi s.a.w power, armies and weapons so that Nabi s.a.w can impose Syariah Law in Mecca and Madinah?
4-Is it the intent of Allah s.w.t that some of His slaves is void of iman (faith) and live in non-Islamic State? Isn't all Prophets and Prophet Muhammad s.a.w himself were sent to invite all humanity to iman (faith) regardless of race or location?
5-Was Nabi s.a.w sent for setting up one Islamic State or was he sent to the whole world as rahmatul alamin? In the Quran, surah Al Anbiya talks about the mission of all Nabi and Prophets and there was no mention whatsoever about Prophets sent, as their main mission, for stateship! In fact, Nabi s.a.w was offered a nation in place of dakwah ilallah and he declined! Why didn't Ibrahim a.s took over the reign of Namrud after Namrud dethroned? Why didn't Musa a.s. took over the reign of Firaun after Firaun died? This is the basis of this question.
6-Is "Perjanjian Hudaibiyah" and "Piagam Madinah" one of the same document? Is it being named Piagam Madinah by someone and "sold" as the perlembagaan of an Islamic State to jus tify their fight for an Islamic State? Is it the same document?
7-If it was a decree by the Ulama, what then is the proper way to gain Islamic State? Was it mentioned in that "decree" that "perjuangan" must be by politics only? What about those who fight through arms and revolution? Did they follow a different decree? What about those who fight through knowledge, preaching, books etc? Why isn't Muslims streamlined and coordinated in their efforst? How many decrees were passed or was there any decree at all in the first place?
Many more questions raised, discussed and debated but sufficed to say that these are the major ones I managed to recall and collect.
Wallah hua a'lam
